4th annual Cougar/Raider Golf Tournament

The event raises money to support the athletic departments at Carson High School and South Rowan High School.

The tournament will be held March 27 at the golf club, 431 Wildwood Drive, Salisbury, with lunch and registration beginning at noon. There will be a shot- gun start at 2 p.m.

Teams must register on or before March 20. The cost is $55 per person or $220 per team.

Organizers have recruited more than 30 hole sponsors for this year's tournament. The presenting sponsor for the tournament is Community One bank, with Patterson Farm, Inc. and Lawn Care Unlimited, Inc. being two other major company sponsors. Cloninger Ford/Toyota is also sponsoring a hole-in-one giveaway.

The letters to sponsors remind them of how this tournament all comes together — schools, students, community and sponsors are the ones who complete the circle to support the Cougars and Raiders.

Trophies will be given to first, second and third place finishers. Door prizes will be awarded after the tournament. The winning team will receive the Principal's Cup.

The cost for gold sponsors is $500 where one team plays free and gets three hole signs, while silver sponsors are $250 with two free golfers and two hole signs. A hole sponsorship is $100 with one hole sign.
